Bret Aduddell, Director of Security Operations
As the Director of Operations, Bret is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day activities for all commercial and Government accounts. His background of over 20 years of experience in the security field ranges from the rank of security officer to the owner of a security consulting business.
His experience has been developed through employment at the DOE Pantex plant near Amarillo, Texas, where he served as a Security Police Officer for six years before accepting the same position at the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site (RFETS) near Denver, Colorado. During his thirteen years of employment at RFETS, Bret was promoted through the first and second levels of supervision in operations.
From operations, he moved into the training department where he earned extensive training credentials ranging from Basic Security Officer through Special Response Team and advanced level of Crisis Negotiations. As his list of credentials grew he continued his upward organizational progression through Team Leader, Training Manager, Director of Training, and eventually Corporate Vice President. As Corporate Vice President, he was responsible for business development, proposal writing, contract negotiations, and contract maintenance for clients within the DOE and DoD communities. He eventually ventured into business ownership where he provided security consulting services including project transition, vulnerability assessments, and training development.
Mark Liming, Director of Business Development
As the Director of Business Development, Mark is responsible for our marketing, bid and proposal activities, contract start up activities, quality assurance and the company safety officers. He brings over twenty-five years of experience in both the Military and security field. After separating from the Air Force in 1983, he began contract work with the Department of Energy, Savannah River Site. He steadily rose through the ranks, attaining a Manager position for the physical security in support of the sole reactor for the Nations nuclear weapons program. During his assent to this position, he held a variety of positions geared toward supervision of personnel, Quality assurance, security audits, compliance reviews and tracking and monitoring of suspense dates for corrective action. In 1992, he was recruited to join the security team at the Los Alamos site, as the Manager of field Operations. This was a senior level manager position with a labor budget in excess of eighteen (18) million dollars. He also was a successful independent consultant and focused on direct implementation of comprehensive security systems for protection of individuals, programs and property.
He has held positions in both public safety and Law Enforcement, serving the community of Santa Fe, New Mexico. During this time, he was highly regarded as a professional among his peers and the public.
Larry Barela, General Manager, WIPP Site
Lawrence R. Barela is the General Manager for the security contract of the Department of Energy's Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP). He has more than 24 years experience in the security arena with the Department of Energy (DOE) and Homeland Defense. He has a strong background in vulnerability assessments, contract oversight, project management, and grievance and arbitration resolution. His management responsibilities include the areas of strategic planning, program management, vulnerability assessments, security operations, and industrial safety. He has worked closely with varied Department of Energy (DOE) and Local Law Enforcement agencies as liaison and contract oversight. Throughout his security career, has been trained in tactics and security analysis through courses established by the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense, these courses include: Small unit leadership, Special Weapons and Tactics, Crisis Negotiations, Instructor certification and vulnerability assessment courses. He also attended the George Washington University to complete a certificate in Operating Practices in Contract Administration.
Currently enrolled in Regis University, Larry is working to complete a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Resources Management. He also served as the Contract Technical Representative in support of several procurement and Local Law Enforcement Contracts. He acted as liaison for the Department of Energy and other contractors to provide dignitary protection, tours and visits, explosive detection programs and vendor access control.
